Have you ever made a quick decision that you wished you’d taken more time to think about?

We all learn that hasty decisions are quite often not the best decisions, especially when it comes to passing laws that affect all Americans.

The US Congress practices what is called 'Deliberation' when making their important decisions.

Imagine if just one person made all the laws in our country just because he felt like it.

So Congress deliberates, taking a lot of time to examine all sides of an issue before passing a law.

Taking the time to get the laws right is the most important thing that Congress can do.

In fact, deliberation could work for you too!
